A co-educational secondary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide both one-to-one support for a student and general classroom assistance. This full-time role offers a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic progress.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored one-to-one support for a student with specific learning needs for 1-2 hours daily
- Help the student set academic goals and track progress
- Work with teachers to implement a personalized learning plan
- Assist with daily tasks and offer emotional support
- Support mainstream classes, helping with lesson prep and class activities
- Monitor and report on students' progress to the teacher
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with special needs students is preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for education and supporting students' development
