Academics are currently working with this very successful 2 form entry Primary school based in Wandsworth, London to appoint a part time teaching assistant to join their team from January. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with children and making an impact on their education. You will need to have a high standard of English and Maths to be confident support Year 5 lessons, supporting the Class Teacher with General Teaching Assistant duties. The children are very well behaved and enjoys their time at school. There will be some SEN 121 duties required as an when needed so you will need to be flexible and confident working with a range of children.

The school has a brilliant SEN department with an experienced SENCO, who will provide training for you to support the child's needs. Previous experience working in a Primary school setting or working with children with Special Needs would be advantageous but not essential. You will however need to be reliable and diligent in your work. It is essential that you are degree qualified (Any subject) or have a Level 3 qualification in childcare or education.
