A leading Primary School are in need of a superb SEMH - Teaching Assistant. You will be supporting a Year 8 pupil who has some behaviour difficulties due to traumatic events that have taken place. The pupil is a high-functioning, capable individual but requires additional support and nurturing support network.

SEMH Teaching Assistant | The ideal Candidate
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
SEMH Teaching Assistant | Requirement
- Must have some recent SEN Experience
- Candidates must have a valid DBS certificate on the update service (Not mandatory as we can provide one)
- Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with behavioural problems
- Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
- Safeguarding experience
