Reed Education are currently recruiting for a sports teaching assistant position for a  secondary school in the Morden area. The position is predominantly focused on being a sports coach as you will be running various sports matches for the students in-between there other classes. The rapport and relationship built though the sports activities will also help you to support students in class.

The school is a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), PRU schools support students who are no longer able to continue at mainstream schools due to exclusion (or high-risk of exclusion). Therefore behaviour will typically be more challenging than in a mainstream setting, thus requiring staff to have a larger focus on emotional and behavioural support. To accommodate for the students needs, class sizes are kept small and there are behaviour support workers ready to further assist should the need arise.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about sports, and passionate about helping young people with their well-being and development. Experience and qualifications do not have a set requirement, however, what we do require is previous experience working with young people with additional needs. It is essential to have experience in a sports role where you've delivered activities to groups of people.

If you are interested please reply with your most up to date CV and a short paragraph detailing your experience and why you'll be a good match for the position.
