We are looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants (TAs) to work within primary schools across South East London. This role is perfect for individuals who want to support young learners with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and behaviours that challenge, helping them thrive in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 or group support for primary school students with Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
  • Assist in managing behaviour through positive reinforcement and tailored strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure the appropriate support is in place for each child.
  • Help create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment within the classroom.
  • Support students in developing communication, social, and emotional regulation skills.
  • Assist with any personal care needs if required.
  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, or behaviour that challenges.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN qualifications) are an advantage but not essential.
  • Willingness to undertake free CPD training, including Team Teach Level 1 and other SEN-related development.
