About Us:

We are working with an Outstanding primary school in Lewisham that is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 team. They have a focus on developing lifelong learners who have resilience and creativity. If you have the relevant experience and a keen interest in SEN, please read on!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be able to engage and progress the learning of SEN pupils
  • Team player who will make a positive contribution to the school team
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Be able to think ‘outside the box’ to extend pupil learning
  • Provide one-on-one support to children with dyslexia
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with dyslexia
  • Knowledge: Understanding of supporting SEN pupils
  • Desirable: Experience working with SEN children
