Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one and group support to children with a range of SEND needs, including those in a resourced provision or PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) classroom.
- Assist with personal care, including toileting and hygiene support, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Work closely with the teaching staff to adapt learning materials and provide tailored interventions that help each child reach their full potential.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere, enabling students to thrive both academically and socially.
- Collaborate with therapists, educational psychologists, and external agencies to create the best outcomes for students.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant with experience working in an SEN setting, whether in a mainstream school, resourced provision, or within a PMLD classroom. This is a fantastic role for anyone considering a career in educational psychology, SEN teaching, or as a future SENCO.
Requirements:- Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant or within a similar role.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with a variety of complex needs.
- Ability to assist with personal care and toileting where necessary.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
