Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? A well-established mainstream secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team for the remainder of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing tailored support for students with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Working with small groups or 1:1 to support learning and development.
  • Supporting students' social, emotional, and academic progress.
  • Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure holistic student support.
  • Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting.
  • Experience with SEND students is essential.
  • A valid DBS check registered on the Update Service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
