Job Description:

SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to support a welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Haringey in their search for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 3 child with Autism. This rewarding role focuses on helping the child to reach their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 3 child with Autism, helping them engage fully in classroom activities
  • Implement strategies to support the child's academic, social, and emotional development
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons and ensure the child's learning needs are met
  • Encourage the child's independence and help manage any challenging behaviours with patience and understanding
  • Promote a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that enables all pupils to thrive

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children with Autism and/or SEND in a primary school setting
  • Be patient, compassionate, and committed to making a positive impact on the child's learning journey
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a supportive school team
  • Have a solid understanding of SEND best practices and be proactive in following IEPs and tailored support plans
