We are seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic SEND Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailor resources to meet pupils' specific needs.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel supported and valued.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to promote pupils' learning and development.
  • Support pupils with transitions, social interactions, and behaviour management, fostering positive relationships.
  • Actively participate in classroom activities and provide general assistance where needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND (experience with EHCPs is highly desirable).
  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are beneficial but not essential.
