We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils, helping them overcome challenges and thrive in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, such as Autism, ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting learning materials to suit individual needs.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages progress and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support pupils' development and wellbeing.
  • Help pupils manage transitions, develop social skills, and overcome behavioural challenges.
  • Support classroom activities and provide general assistance to the teaching team.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND is essential (experience with EHCPs is a bonus).
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude towards working with children.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not mandatory.
