About the Role:SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to work on behalf of an Outstanding, three-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Haringey to recruit a committed and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for an individual passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCO.
  • Follow support plans designed to enhance the pupil's learning and behaviour both within the classroom and during 1:1 sessions.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the specific needs of the pupil, ensuring they are fully engaged and supported in their learning journey.
  • Promote the pupil's social and emotional development, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About You:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has prior experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in the area of Speech, Language, and Communication Needs.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Is proactive, patient, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
  • Is confident in following support plans and working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCO.
