About the Role:SANZA Teaching Agency is working on behalf of an Outstanding Special School in the London Borough of Islington to recruit a committed and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a long-term, full-time position, perfect for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils aged 2 to 19 years with physical disabilities and additional sensory needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised support plans, ensuring the holistic development of each student.
  • Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support pupils with daily tasks, mobility, and communication, adapting resources and teaching strategies to meet their specific needs.
  • Promote students' independence and social interaction skills.

About You:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has prior experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly those with physical disabilities and sensory needs.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of pupils with additional needs.

  • Is proactive, adaptable, and able to manage challenging situations with a calm and positive approach.
