SEND SUPPORT STAFF

Empowering Learning are currently recruiting SEND Support Staff to work with pupils with Learning Difficulties in Redbridge. We are seeking staff with a background of supporting children or adults with Complex Needs, Physical Disabilities or Severe Learning Difficulties

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate a caring and empathetic nature towards the pupils but also remain resilient and patient under difficult scenarios. The school would like positive and versatile SEND Staff, with a keen interest in supporting pupils of different learning levels.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with Complex Needs, Physical Disabilities & Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Encourage, engage and support pupils with their learning & development
  • Provide personal care, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene support

In order to be considered for this role you need to:

  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Hold a level 2 and above in childcare or equivalent
  • Have previous experience of working in a UK Primary/Secondary school
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with SEND
  • DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new DBS
  • Available to work full-time (Mon - Fri)
