Remedy Education are delighted to be offering the opportunity to work at one of our partner schools as an ABA Teaching Assistant. The school are based in South East London and are looking to invest in a new member of staff to join an inclusive, passionate team.

About the school:

  • Utilises the principals of ABA and pyramid approach to education which gives pupils an effective means of communication using the Picture Exchange System.
  • Provide a school for young children with autism who find it difficult to manage in mainstream school.
  • Provides personalised access to a differentiated curriculum that has breadth and balance appropriate to meet each individual pupil's needs.
  • Friendly, supportive team of staff who put the pupils needs first.
  • Offers an array of extra-curricular activities to teach the pupils life skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Organise workload for pupils and delivering teaching using ABA and PECS (where appropriate).
  • Participate in regular training and development reviews with senior leaders.
  • Work in a High Dependency Unit on a 1:1 and small group basis with children diagnosed with autism.
  • Working as part of a professional team, taking responsibility for own workload, and working closely with other team members.
  • Have an outgoing, can-do attitude!
