The Role:
- Position: Speech and Language Teaching Assistant
- Location: Kensington & Chelsea
- Start Date: Immediate
- Contract: Full-time, for the academic year
- Salary: £500 - £550 per week (inclusive of holiday pay)
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with speech and language difficulties.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and therapy programmes designed by Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs).
- Support the development of communication skills, including speech clarity, vocabulary building, and social interaction.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to track and report student progress.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive environment to help students overcome barriers to learning.
- A graduate with a background in Psychology, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- A strong interest in Speech and Language Therapy and working with students who have additional needs.
- Prior experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is advantageous but not essential.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with communication challenges.
