Sports Graduate TA/Sports Coach | South East London | ASAP Start

Working on behalf of our client Primary School in Lewisham, South East London we are recruiting a sports graduate to work as a teaching assistant across the school supporting groups of pupils. The incoming graduate teaching assistant is to start ASAP for the current academic year.

Successful applicants will be aspiring teachers of the future who have previous experience of supporting primary aged children as a sports coach or have volunteered within a primary school. The role will be to work with groups of identified pupils to help support outside of a classroom environment, utilising sport to engage the pupils.

Working with Key Stage 1 and 2 in the mornings, on both a 1-2-1 and group basis. The school would like the chosen candidate to lead before and after school clubs and potential for lunch time activities.

Whilst at the school you will be given guidance and support from a strong Senior Leadership team.

The ideal candidate will need:

  • A degree in Sports/Physical Education
  • Previous teaching assistant or Sports coaching background (desirable)
  • Strong academic record (GCSE and A-levels in your chosen subject)
  • A confident and outgoing personality and commitment to working for the full year
