About the Role:As a General Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers, helping to create a positive and effective learning environment. You will support students both academically and emotionally, providing 1:1 assistance, small group work, and general classroom support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Support students with varying learning needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Prepare classroom resources and help set up activities
  • Supervise students during breaks and lunchtimes
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, positive learning environment
  • Promote the social, emotional, and intellectual development of the students

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school setting is desirable, but not essential
  • A passion for working with children and helping them succeed
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Teaching Assistant Certificate) are beneficial but not required
