We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Islington. This exciting full-time role will focus on delivering group interventions for Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupils, supporting their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support for small groups of children in KS1, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and general learning development.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Support children with a range of abilities and special educational needs (SEN).
- Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher on individual student performance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a primary school, preferably within the UK education system, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and understanding of the KS1 curriculum and strategies for supporting early years learners.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their learning journeys.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
