Teaching Assistant | Behaviour Mentor | Mainstream Primary School | September Start | Tower Hamlets

Teaching Assistant (TA) required for a mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets to start this September.

The role will involve working 1:1 with a child in lower KS2 who is on the autistic spectrum and presenting with some mild behaviour difficulties that disrupt the class. We are looking for teaching assistants with previous experience with these kind of needs.

  • 1:1 role to start September and continue for the whole academic year
  • Work with a fantastic SENCO and class teacher
  • Firm but fair Teaching Assistant required for setting boundaries
  • Excellent transport links to the school

This role would suit Teaching Assistants who have 1:1 experience working with KS2 children with behaviour difficulties. The child is not aggressive but can have melt downs and disrupt the class

We are looking for someone who can bring to the role techniques for managing challenging behaviour and de-escalating outbursts so that the child can progress with learning.
