We are currently seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism within a mainstream primary school in Belgravia, London. This is an immediate opportunity to support and inspire young learners with SEN in their early educational journey.

Key details:

  • Reception Class Learning Support Assistant
  • Primary school in Belgravia
  • £80-£100 per day based on experience
  • ASAP start date, ongoing position
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30am-4pm (Term time only)

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with SEN within the Early Years setting.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated activities to meet the individual needs of SEN students.
  • Support students with personal care, communication, and social interaction as required.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably within an Early Years setting.
  • A caring and empathetic nature, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all children.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting children with SEN would be advantageous.
