A primary school in North London is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team, starting after the October half term on 4th November 2024. This role involves working with two children in the Reception class, providing essential support throughout the school day. The school offers parking facilities, making it convenient for those who drive.
Key Responsibilities for the EYFS Teaching Assistant:
- In the mornings, support a young girl with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping her engage with learning and social activities.
- In the afternoons, work one-on-one with a boy with Autism, providing tailored support to meet his educational and social needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities to suit each child's individual development goals.
- Monitor the progress of both children, ensuring they are thriving in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Requirements for the EYFS Teaching Assistant:
- Previous Early Years teaching assistant experience working with children with Autism, especially within an EYFS setting.
- As an early years teaching assistant, you should have strong communication and behaviour management skills to effectively support children with SEN.
