Job Vacancy: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Tottenham

Daily Rate: £80-£100

We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school and support a child with Autism in reception class. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom. The school benefits from being easily accessible via public transport.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant and will be passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with SEN. You will be responsible for working with individual students and small groups to provide tailored support and guidance.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to children with SEN.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure that individual needs are being met.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to support the educational and emotional needs of children with SEN.
  • Adapting teaching methods and resources to suit the individual needs of each student.
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress to teachers and parents.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of SEN and the challenges that children with SEN may face. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
