We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Chingford. This role offers a great opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive and engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils to stay on track with their learning.
  • Manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and structured learning environment.
  • Help prepare and organise teaching materials, ensuring the classroom is ready for each lesson.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks, and school activities to ensure their safety.
  • Offer targeted support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN), adapting learning methods to suit their individual needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, teachers, and staff to provide comprehensive support for pupils.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting pupils' learning and development.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
