KS2 Primary school teaching assistant

Westminster based 2 form entry primary school

£80 - £110 per day, dependant on experience (£400 - £550 per week)

The role of teaching assistant:

Your role as a KS2 teaching assistant will vary each day, your primary focus will be to ensure the highest quality of education for the students in your class. You will assist the class teacher with lesson and classroom preparation, help manage learning and all activites, manage classroom behaviour, work with small groups of students around key subjects, support children with special needs on a 1:1 basis. There will also be opportunities for the successful teaching assistant to run and assist with afterschool and lunch time clubs.

Desirable requirements for the teaching assistant:

  • Ideally will you have a minimum of 3 months child related work experience, this can be classroom based or in some form of coaching/summer club environment.
  • A passion and want to support children through education, helping them to achieve
  • A child related qualification or equivalent
