Reeson are working with a vibrant and supportive primary school in Chelsea, dedicated to fostering the potential of every child. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with autism starting in January 2024.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide personalised support to help the child access the curriculum and develop essential social and communication skills.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and adapt strategies that meet the child's specific needs.
  • Use your understanding of autism to create a structured, calm, and engaging learning environment.
  • Build a positive and trusting relationship with the child to encourage confidence and independence.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to the development of individualised learning and support plans.

  • Experience: Prior experience supporting children with autism or other special educational needs in a school setting is essential.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability to respond to the needs of the child.
