SEN Teaching Assistant | Year 1 ASD | Hammersmith and Fulham, W12 | £90 - £105 per day | January Start | Long-Term to Permanent Role

Long Term Futures are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant two-form entry primary school in Hammersmith and Fulham, W12. This role focuses on providing dedicated support to a child in Year 1 with ASD, ensuring they thrive in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a child with ASD in Year 1, tailoring strategies to their unique needs.
  • Implement visual timetables, reward systems, and sensory resources to aid engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Foster a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Support the child in managing emotions and building confidence.
  • Liaise with SENCOs and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.

About You:

  • Proven experience working with children with ASD, particularly in a primary school setting.
  • Confident using strategies such as visual aids and sensory tools.
  • A patient, empathetic, and calm approach to supporting young learners.
  • Willingness to assist with personal care if required.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting SEN are desirable.
