The Role:

Long Term Futures is looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a thriving all through school in Newham, London. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting SEND students, offering 1:1 and small group interventions to help them stay engaged in their education.

You will be working within a dynamic team, supporting students both academically and emotionally while helping to create an inclusive and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND to enhance their learning experience
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and on-task
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and offer emotional support to students who require additional guidance
  • Adapt lesson materials to suit individual learning needs
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and other support staff to create a nurturing and effective learning space
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with SEND students in a Primary or secondary school setting
  • A confident and adaptable individual with strong behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff
  • A passion for education and a desire to help students reach their full potential
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
Additional Information:
  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday
  • Paid up to £110 per day, term time only
  • Based in Newham, London, with great transport links
  • Immediate start, with potential for a long-term placement
