About the Role - Teaching Assistant (KS1):
  • Work closely with the class teacher to support teaching and learning across Year 1 and Year 2.
  • Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils in phonics, numeracy, and literacy.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organise learning resources to support lessons and interventions.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
  • Have prior experience working in a primary school setting, particularly in KS1.
  • Be confident, enthusiastic, and nurturing with a child-centred approach.
  • Understand how to support children with varying needs and abilities.

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS (on the update service) or be willing to apply for one.
