Horizon Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive school environment and make a meaningful impact on pupils' academic and personal development.The Assistant position is scheduled for the morning hours, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. We are ideally looking for someone who can commit to the role for the full term, as building a strong relationship with both the pupil and their parent will be key to the success of this support. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pupils with SEND, particularly those with ADHD, and will bring a patient and empathetic approach to their practice.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the tutor to provide thoughtful feedback and updates to the parent at the end of each session, fostering a strong home-school partnership.
  • Working closely with the tutor to coordinate and adapt the timetable as needed, ensuring a flexible and responsive approach to the pupils learning needs.
  • Assisting in the delivery of sensory circuits to help pupils prepare for learning by improving focus, self-regulation, and readiness for the school day.
  • Contributing to a positive learning environment by supporting the implementation of behaviour reinforcement strategies that encourage confidence, cooperation, and emotional growth.
