Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - GreenwichStart Date: Immediate | Full-Time, Long-Term (Until End of Academic Year)

A vibrant and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term role lasting until the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension or a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons across a range of subjects.

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students who require additional help, including those with special educational needs (SEN).

  • Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.

  • Foster a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.

  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.

  • Supervise students during break times, outings, or extracurricular activities when required.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a school, educational, or similar setting is essential.

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service is required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.

  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to working in a school environment.

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people in their learning and development.

  • Experience working in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.

Pay:
  • Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience.
