Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - LewishamFull-Time | Long-Term | Immediate Start | Until July 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive mainstream Secondary School in Lewisham. This full-time, long-term position is to start immediately and will run through to the end of the academic year (July 2025).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for education and prior experience working with young people to make a meaningful difference in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students in and out of the classroom to enhance their learning and development
Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support to individual students or small groups
Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Support pupils with additional needs as required
Uphold school policies on behaviour and safeguarding

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
A valid DBS registered on the Update Service - this is essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting learners
Commitment to the full duration of the academic year
