Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - LewishamFull-Time | Long-Term | Immediate Start | Until July 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive mainstream Secondary School in Lewisham. This full-time, long-term position is to start immediately and will run through to the end of the academic year (July 2025).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for education and prior experience working with young people to make a meaningful difference in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students in and out of the classroom to enhance their learning and development

  • Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support to individual students or small groups

  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities

  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

  • Support pupils with additional needs as required

  • Uphold school policies on behaviour and safeguarding

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting

  • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service - this is essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting learners

  • Commitment to the full duration of the academic year

Pay:
