Teaching assistant - Westminster

Empowering Learning are currently working with a number of primary and secondary schools in Westminster who are looking for full-time for Teaching Assistants to support their students with SEND. We are looking for dynamic and adaptable Teaching assistants, that will be able to support pupils daily in the classroom.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is considering a career in teaching or for someone qualified but seeking further school experience.

Job Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant

* Supporting pupils with SEN including ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties.* Supervising pupil's behaviour* Encourage and support the pupils learning and development* Support social interaction* Helping the teacher prepare for lessons and plan activities

Job Requirements of a Teaching Assistant

* Experience of support children with SEND* Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or disabilities.* Strong communication skills* Valid child and adult enhanced DBS registered with the online update service or be willingness to obtain one
