The school:

A beautiful primary school based in Notting Hill are looking for a compassionate and patient teaching assistant to join their supportive team. This primary school located in a well know area of London have great outdoor facilities and boast spacious halls and classrooms. The senior leadership team pride themselves in keeping staff up to date with modern techniques and practices.

The role:

As an SEMH (social emotional mental health) teaching assistant you will be working with 1 or 2 children to ensure they are safe and supported throughout the school day. Key responsibilities will include leading activities with individuals or small groups of students to facilitate their physical, emotional and educational development within a safe environment. You will provide a stimulating and well-structured learning environment suitable for pupils with SEMH, providing emotional support, creating strong relationships, working with the SENCO and teachers to ensure the best levels of care and education, liaising with outside professionals such as occupational therapists and keeping parents up to date and informed.

  • Completed Batchelors degree or childcare/psychology based equivalent qualification
