About Us:

Our Ofsted Outstanding client school in the Borough of Southwark is looking for a Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start. They pride themselves on the behaviour of their pupils. The Senior Leadership Team is now looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the classroom teacher in supporting a SEN pupil.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Provide one-on-one support to a child with SEN.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience working within a classroom as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of SEN and supporting pupils accordingly.
  • Desirable: Experience working with children in a school setting.
