A warm and inclusive primary school in North London is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with Autism for the first half of the day, transitioning to general classroom responsibilities in the afternoon. This long-term role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant with experience in Autism support who can adapt to both one-on-one and broader classroom needs.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with Autism, focusing on personalised assistance and helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt learning activities for the pupil, ensuring inclusion and meaningful participation.
- Transition in the afternoon to support the wider class, helping with general Teaching Assistant duties to maintain a structured, supportive classroom.

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant Role:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting children with Autism.
