About the Role:LTF Recruitment is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant secondary school in Wembley, conveniently located near North Wembley Station. This role is perfect for candidates with a strong academic background in English, Maths, or Science who are keen to support students' progress in these core subjects. As a TA, you'll work directly with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing both in-class assistance and small group interventions to boost their confidence and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in English, Maths, and Science, ensuring they stay engaged and succeed in their studies
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt learning resources and provide personalised support
  • Provide 1:1 and small group sessions for students requiring extra help in core subjects
  • Prepare resources and assist with lesson activities focused on English, Maths, and Science
  • Track student progress and communicate updates to teachers, helping to shape individual learning plans
  • Create a positive, inclusive environment that encourages independent learning

Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree in English, Maths, Science, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students, such as in tutoring, mentoring, or similar roles
  • Strong communication skills, with a patient and encouraging approach
  • Ability to adapt and collaborate effectively within a school environment
  • A proactive, flexible mindset with a commitment to safeguarding student welfare
