About the Role:LTF Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in Camden, NW1. This role involves working within a Year 2 class, providing both one-to-one support for a pupil with SEN and general classroom assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with special educational needs, helping them engage with the curriculum and manage their daily activities.
  • Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Lead small group interventions to support students' learning and development.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages positive behaviour and participation.
  • Monitor and record progress, sharing feedback with the teacher and SENCo as required.
  • Support the smooth running of the classroom, including preparing resources and supervising activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those with SEN.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering children's learning and well-being.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
