• Provide tailored support to a child with autism, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCO, other teaching assistants and parents to implement and adapt individual education plans (IEPs).
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment within the classroom.
• Use creative and flexible strategies to engage the child in learning and address sensory or communication needs.
• Promote positive behavior, confidence, and independence in the child's daily activities.

• Experience working with children with autism or special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting children's unique needs.
• A proactive and flexible attitude to adapt to the challenges of a dynamic classroom environment.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
