Teaching Assistant - Secondary School, Greenwich

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Greenwich. This full-time, long-term role is available immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year.

Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students across various subjects, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and making a positive impact in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Provide additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) where required
  • Prepare resources and assist in lesson planning
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom
  • Supervise students during breaks and school activities
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting students and teachers
  • A passion for education and helping students achieve their full potential
Salary

Pay is dependent on experience and will be discussed during the recruitment process.
