A primary school in Haringey is seeking a Sports-Focused Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 5 pupil who has behavioural needs due to trauma. The school is looking for someone who can use sports, particularly football, to help regulate emotions and encourage engagement.
Sports-Focused Teaching Assistant - What You'll Be Doing:- Providing 1:1 behavioural support to a Year 5 pupil in a primary classroom setting.
- Encouraging positive engagement through sports and structured outdoor activities.
- Supporting the class teacher and SENCO in implementing individualised behaviour strategies.
- Helping the child build confidence, resilience, and social skills through sports-based learning.
- A Teaching Assistant with experience in behaviour management.
- Someone with a sports background who enjoys using physical activity to support learning.
- A confident individual who can build trust and rapport with children facing challenges.
