Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support - Year 1 - Haringey - ASAP Start
A Primary School in Haringey is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 1 pupil who requires additional support. This is a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP and is ideal for a compassionate, patient, and experienced Teaching Assistant who is confident in supporting young learners with SEN or behavioural needs.
Teaching Assistant - Role Overview:- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil, ensuring they stay engaged in learning.
- Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Support the child's social and emotional development in and outside the classroom.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support strategies.
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant in EYFS or KS1.
- Understanding of early childhood development, SEN, or behaviour management.
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one via Reeson Education.
- Secure a long-term position in a well-supported primary school.
