Turkish Speaking Teaching Assistant
Are you a Turkish speaking Teaching Assistant with experience in a secondary school, looking for a new and rewarding opportunity?
Tradewind recruitment is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Hackney supporting students who need additional support in school with English.
You will be working with students on a 1:1 and small group basis across all classes and year groups. The students speak Turkish as their home language and some are new to English. The school requires someone who has an excellent level of spoken and written English and Turkish as you will be helping the students to develop their English and liaising between home and school and times. There may be some students with challenging behaviour, so you will need to have a calm, firm-but-fair approach.
You should ideally have experience of working with students in a secondary school environment. You should have a calm, positive approach and be an excellent team member as you will be liaising with many different people throughout the week.
This role is to start ASAP until the end of the academic year. Working hours are 8:15am - 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Salary is £90-95 per day, depending on experience,
The school is seeking someone with:
- Previous experience working within a Secondary school setting
- Experience working with students with SEN or challenging behaviour
- The school is located in Hackney with excellent access to public transport links. Parking can be tricky around the school.
