Role Overview:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons. You will work closely with students, providing both group and individual support to help them achieve their full potential. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive impact on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Learning: Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery, providing support to individual students and small groups
- Targeted Support: Work with students, especially those with additional needs, to ensure they are fully included in the learning process
- Classroom Management: Help create and maintain a positive, well-organized classroom environment
- Assessment & Feedback: Support the assessment of student progress and provide constructive feedback to the teacher
- Building Relationships: Develop positive, supportive relationships with students, staff, and parents to enhance the educational experience
- Safeguarding: Promote the school’s values and work in partnership with the safeguarding team to ensure the well-being of all students
What They Are Looking For:
- Experience: Prior experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting
- Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for helping children succeed
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the primary school curriculum is beneficial, though not essential
- Attributes: Patience, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle challenges with resilience
- Qualifications: A relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable
