About Us:
We are working with a primary school in the vibrant borough of Lewisham that provides a safe and nourishing environment. They are committed to ensuring all children overcome barriers to their learning and as such are looking for an experienced Year 4 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with SEMH needs. You must have very strong behaviour management skills and also be very good in supporting emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be able to support and engage a pupil with SEMH
- Have high expectations and can deliver engaging learning
- Experience of supporting pupils in Key Stage 2
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
- Support pupils with their academic learning
- Support the pupil’s emotional regulation
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Teaching Assistant or equivalent
- Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with SEMH
- Knowledge: Supporting emotional regulation
- Desirable: Strong behaviour management
