Year 6 Teaching Assistant - Walthamstow, Waltham Forest

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting KS2 pupils? Do you have the skills to help Year 6 students reach their full potential in the lead-up to SATs? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest. This full-time role starts in February 2025 and offers a starting daily pay rate of £90-£95 PAYE.

The Role:

As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils through their final year of primary education.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
  • Providing targeted support to pupils, including those who may need additional help with literacy and numeracy.
  • Running small intervention groups to reinforce key learning objectives and boost confidence ahead of SATs.
