Year 6 Teaching Assistant - Central Walthamstow, Waltham Forest
Are you an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils in Key Stage 2? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Central Walthamstow from March 2025.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to pupils in Year 6, ensuring they are fully prepared for their transition to secondary school. Working closely with the class teacher, you will:
- Assist with delivering engaging lessons and interventions.
- Provide targeted support to pupils who may need additional help in literacy and numeracy.
- Help prepare pupils for SATs, offering guidance and encouragement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
- Previous experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils, ideally in Year 6.
- Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum, including SATs preparation.
- A proactive and nurturing approach to supporting learning and pupil development.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting both pupils and staff.
