Your new companyAn extremely well established Environmental Consultancy that operate across, Air Quality, Acoustics, EIA, Ecology and more. They service a range of clientele predominantly across residential, renewables, infrastructure and commercial development projects. With bases all over the UK, they offer a well-rounded approach to solving environmental issues.Your new roleDue to continuous growth, this post is for a Consultant or Senior level Ecologist to work out of their central London office. You will have the opportunity to work with clients across the UK on a diverse range of projects. Projects will typically occur within London and the surrounding counties.You will work in a supportive environment with friendly staff and will be given support and tailored development opportunities via experienced colleagues and external professionals.You will be responsible for…

  • Undertaking ecological surveys, including UKHab habitat surveys and varying protected species surveys
  • Help to manage ecological projects for smooth delivery
  • Liaise with clients and subcontractors to
  • Help to prepare fee proposals and author technical reports
  • Ensure the meeting of Biodiversity Net Gain where possible

What you'll need to succeed

  • Some proven experience in an ecological consultancy (Seasonal or Permanent)
  • A degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with conducting or supporting ecological surveys
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of relevant environmental and planning legislation
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience of Biodiversity Net Gain, botany or ornithology (ideal)
  • GIS experience (ideal)
  • One or more protected species licences (ideal)
  • FISC trained (ideal)
  • Membership of CIEEM (ideal)
