Job Role: Business Analyst

Pay Rate: 750per day via Umbrella
The role:
Responsible for being a business analyst on a small, high performing team. The data modernisation function is responsible for delivering and improving the data product availability from business units in line with strategic modernisation goals. This role serves as the key partner in the Agile team during the software development life cycle. Subject matter expertise and technical aptitude is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse domain data and operational processes, working with various operations teams and applications such as Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting and Regulatory Reporting to develop data products to support the client experience.
- Collaborate with business architecture, technology, architecture and other teams to feed into strategic decision making.
- Elicit and document functional requirements, raise user stories, oversee the development of new functionality, perform user acceptance testing & support implementation and rollout.
- Employ project management and Agile tools and techniques
- Interact and liaise with upstream and downstream technology teams and external vendors to resolve functional & technical queries.
- Develop as a functional Subject Matter Expert across data and specific applications such as Invest One Accounting platform, documenting and developing a knowledge base.
- Collaborate with upstream and downstream capability owners and accountable owners to bring about global solutions to data challenges.
- Feed in to release plans and management reporting as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Analytical Skills: A self-starter with advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience: Proven background as a Business Analyst or solid operational experience in fund administration or financial reporting.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the Invest One Accounting platform and Passport Reporting for Fund Accounting.
- Cloud Technology Experience: Hands-on experience with Azure and Snowflake.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
- Agile Familiarity: Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as ADO and GitHub.
- SQL Skills: Competency in SQL to support data analysis efforts.
