Position: Commercial Administrator

We are looking to recruit a Commercial Administrator to join our client, a leading construction company, to support their commercial team. You will report to the Commercial Manager on-site and assist the wider commercial team, including quantity surveyors.This is a 6-month temporary role, offering a pay rate of £13-17 per hour (PAYE) or £16-20 per hour (Umbrella).

Location: On-site in Westminster

Role and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Director/Manager to efficiently handle administrative tasks
  • Perform general departmental administration as needed
  • Maintain and manage filing systems and databases
  • Communicate with internal and external contacts to ensure smooth information flow
  • Monitor departmental costs
  • Raise invoice queries
  • Liaise with subcontractors
  • Process purchase orders
  • Ensure timely and efficient document processing through company systems
  • Provide additional administrative support as required
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in an administrative or secretarial role
  • Experience supporting the commercial/procurement team
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office and strong written English skills
  • Ability to produce professional correspondence independently
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Capability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
